It was a surprisingly annoying and yet strange situation for Coyle as the humans opened the crate and then bolted for the safety of the cars. The big hippo snorted at them in annoyance once more, he had never been bothered about hurting humans before, his mother had always mentioned the truth about some humans being cruel, and though he could handle himself, Coyle had always trusted his mother. Now the big hippo marched out down the ramp and straight toward the thick reeds and clumps of green algae and weeds that lined the edge of the nearest Delta pathway. He spotted a crocodile near it, and opened his jaw in a gapping yawn, the croc backed into the water. No one messed with a possibly grouchy hippo. But there was something else on Coyle's mind besides bullying, the air was rich in the scent of other hippos, here he was not confined either! New chances were ahead of Coyle, and he was more then willing that seize these opportunities.
